hoglaw
I'm going to take my wife (as of two months ago!) camping and floating this coming weekend. Temps should be down and it looks like there's a possibility of rain, but I would imagine we're still dealing with low water. With that in mind, it seems like a 12 or 14 miler on the Buffalo would be an ideal overnight trip. We don't have time to go from Rush down, and I'd like her to want to continue being married to me after we finish this trip. We'd be putting in on Saturday morning and taking out Sunday evening. I've done most of the Buffalo, but I normally go during the week days so crowds aren't really part of the equation. Does anyone have a suggestion for a float that length that might keep some of the bigger crowds away with the low water? Bobber, what do you think? Danimal
Try Gilbert to Maumee. Some good fishing in there and it's about the right distance. By the way -- CONGRATS!! Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!

bobber
if you have your own canoe i would shoot for the mt.hersey to woolum nobody does that section >>>( but really you should forget 12 to 14 miles in heat stroke weather ! ) i always say it's easier to make a short float long but there is noway you can make long trip short! two weeks ago we put on some camper for a long three day trip. late the second day they had the rangers call to come get them, they drank all the liquids that the brought for three days in one afternoon! and didn't feel they could paddle the rest of the trip <*)))))))>< * AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED CANOE, and SWIFT WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR.*
