Members FlyfishinOK Posted July 20, 2009 Members Posted July 20, 2009 Really nice fish. Makes me want to go back down there this coming weekend!
Members jwpage Posted July 20, 2009 Members Posted July 20, 2009 I fish wolly buggers 60% of the time mostly bead head in olive #6, 8 ,10 cast 90 degrees to current and dead drift keeping slack out of line and slowly strip at end of drift. Most of my takes are during the drift. The other fly is soft hackles red, black, wine with silver wire and partridge hackle in #12, 14 , 16 fished the same as the wolly buggers. Once and a while I will indicator fish. Gregg If you don't mind me asking, where do you get your flies or do you tie them? Is the soft hackle all three colors in one or are they soft hackles in each individual color? thanks "The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope." I looked on several fly shop sites and didn't find the ones you described. I may have to start learning to tie flies myself.
