Bman Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 We arrived at the Dam early Friday morning to strong winds. The fish we caught were strong fighters with many in the 17-19 inch range. The Dam started generation at noon as planned. That was the only part of the plan they stuck to. Fishing was awesome with 1 unit coming on, and better with 2 units running easy. Then SWPA went outside of what they called for, 4 units! Should have brought the boat! We really aren’t big fans of combat fishing in the outlets, but when we checked out outlet 1 it wasn’t crowded. Fishing was slow there, and after being somewhat spoiled from our earlier fishing we called it a day. Sunday we hit the water early as the SWPA called for 1 unit at 9 am going to 2 units at noon. Matt told me,”I’ll bet they turn on 2 units”. That’s exactly what they did! And they ran 2 units hard. Those 2 units ran the same as 3 units Friday. Again, should have brought the boat. The outlets were packed, so we went hunting new spots with little success. We decided to pack it up and check out Dana’s for lunch. A great idea! Still another great time with my best fishing buddy. We were celebrating his 25th birthday! Seems like yesterday when I saw him catch his fisrt Bass by himself at 2 years old! The only good line is a tight line
DoveTail Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Nice looking fish. Sounds like a great time even though it seems they rarely generate what they post.
ohmz138 Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 It would of been good to have the boat but I still had a great time.
Bman Posted July 19, 2009 Author Posted July 19, 2009 It would of been good to have the boat but I still had a great time. And that's what it's all about, quality time. I never measure success by numbers. It's all about the experience itself. Looking forward to great times together this Fall. The only good line is a tight line

He's been fishing with me since he could hold a fishing rod, Been in the deer woods with me since he was 7. Has been my tournament partner in the RAW tournament since he was 14. A lot of patience testing and no deer for the first few years, but I wouldn't have it any other way!! Real men go propless!
