Zack Hoyt Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Ryan Riley and myself snuck out Saturday morning to do a little warm water wading. I had been neglecting the smallies and panfish and decided it was time to revisit them. I also needed an excuse to break in the new ZAxis 9' 3wt I had recently acquired. It was gorgeous weather and with these smaller creeks, you rarely ever see anyone else. We were throwing all sorts of terrestrial patterns with abundant success. My favorite was a ant pattern. About the time it hit the water, the fish would attack it. What a blast. Size wasnt an issue on this trip. It truly was the old "just glad to be out fishing". Probably 40+ fish caught on a few miles of stream. Here are a few pics. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
