I'm getting ready to start another semester of school again and dreading the thought of not being able to fish four times a week. But as I do every summer I'm planning on a four or five day fishing adventure the week before school starts. I usually go to a lake or stream and camp, fish and relax. This year I would like to go a stream that has good fishing for smallies and public camping. I've thought about Jack's Fork, The Current, maybe Eleven Point, Crooked Creek or The Kings. I'd really like some input from all the people who know these rivers for I really know nothing about them. The only thing I need is public camping and a river full of smallmouth. Thanks.

If you're planning on camping at one spot and fishing during the days, public camping is limited on Crooked Creek and Kings River. Lots of it on the Jacks Fork, Current, and Eleven Point. You could camp at Two Rivers on the Current and have your choice of the Current or Jacks Fork to fish. There is good smallie fishing to be found on all the streams you mentioned.

Don't forget North Fork of the White- Smallmouths in the upper part, and tons of trout in the lower part. Good camping, too.

Thanks guys, I went to The Jack's Fork last year for a day and caught quite a few fish. I really want to go to a place that I haven't been yet. The Two Rivers Access sounds interesting, having my pick of two rivers would be a nice luxury. There's a buddy of mine who goes to the upper part of the North Fork who tells me that there's never a lot of people you have to share the river with and that would be very nice. Thanks for your input. The great thing about this site is you can always find help when you need it.
