You know, I hear that 90% of the fish are caught by 10% of the fishermen... <_< I must be in the "other" 90%. But I enjoy the heck out of a good day of floatin' and fishin' in the Ozarks and Ouachitas.

My main diversion is paddlin', mostly whitewater kayaking  , but when the water receeds I love to jump in my 17' canoe with my 8 y.o. kid KC and hit the rivers like the buffalo, mulberry, spring, and big piney. I like to fish these rivers and creeks when the whitewater action is slow and when we camp on the river. Too bad I'm so bad at it...but I still like it.

Central AR, black jeep with a big rack, and my paddlin' buddy is 8.

Rock Beaverfork: Welcome to the Forum, great site and you can get a lot of questions answered. I have one for you! You mentioned Ouachitas is this the lake near Hot springs with tailwaters for trout fishing. Family is going there in the 1st week of Aug. and I need some advice on fly fishing if it is tailwater with trout. Thanks
