Danoinark Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 From the Baxter Bulletin Newspaper In-Fisherman crew films Norfork Lake stripers KEVIN PIEPER • Bulletin Staff Writer • August 8, 2009 Area anglers wanting to learn about summer striper fishing on Norfork Lake can hook up with an area guide, or they can wait until early next year to catch a segment on an In-Fisherman television special. Advertisement Doug Stange, editor-in-chief of In-Fisherman magazine and television productions, and cameraman Erik Fleischhacker, spent three days this past week filming with area guide Darrell "Bink" Binkley. "We're here specifically for summer striper fishing," Stange said while jigging a Bink spoon nearly 60 feet deep. "It's a challenging type of fishing," he said. "This lake is different from most of the places around the states. Deep and clear." Stange noted that Norfork Lake boasts a quality striper fishery. In fact, he calls the Twin Lakes Area a "world-class fishery," as many anglers in the area and around the nation know. "It's a unique area with the White River and the two reservoirs," he said. "It is world class." This is the third time Stange and In-Fisherman have filmed on Norfork Lake with Bink. "I'm proud to have In-Fisherman on our lake," Binkley said. "The notoriety means a lot for Norfork (Lake) and our area." As of Wednesday, Stange and Binkley had caught several nice stripers, but not the big one that Stange said they want for the show. "We'll get one," Stange said. "It usually takes three days of fishing," he said, "to get enough footage for a six-minute segment." The show, what Stange calls an In-Fisherman special, is tentatively scheduled to run the first week in January 2010 on the Sportsman Channel, all Fox Sports network channels and the World Fishing Network. kevinp@baxterbulletin.com http://www.baxterbulletin.com/article/2009...ce=nletter-news Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
