Members BIG K Posted August 16, 2009 Members Posted August 16, 2009 Hi folks I have been reading the forum for a few years and enjoy all the info and people. my name is Kelly i have spent 4 to 5 weeks a year on Taney since 1969 always stayed at Blue Haven current manager Gary and I grew up togther and are best friends. when we were kids if you could get a ten horse and a smaal boat to it we been in there up there over there and down there ( its a wonder we both lived to adult hood but what fun we had) . I fish mostly short creek to dam and love the jig and float . As i grow older some of the changes seem so sad I never would have thought that i would miss that silly little pirate boat holding up the Sammy lane but i do or Bob Klien giving me a half empty jar of eggs because i just spent my last quater on coke. miss the old Lake queen taking first time sailors for a ride down the lake and now i sits in dry dock serving beer to tired shoppers. some times i think i pass that kid in the 10 horse as i rocket up lake in a 20 foot glitter missle and think wow what an adventure this has been

I know where that boat is stored... I think they should fix 'er up and make it some sort of attraction. But it's 40 miles from Taney. Welcome to the forum.
