Well, this is the second time heading out for crappie on Fellows as most of my adventures take me out for bass there. Unlike my first time out for crappie with my brother and not getting a single bite, this time was a bit different. If you know where or can find the brush piles the MDC has placed out in Fellows, that is your best bet. I have never searched for them, but using a map available online, I was able to find quite a few I wanted to try. Well the south end of the lake was white capping it was so windy, so I headed to the north and east end to try my luck. Headed today's trip.out late morning, started fishing at 10:30 and finally found a pile. Only took an hour and a half to limit out and head home. All of mine were 10+ inches except one that was nine. If the sun was out, no bite. But when the clouds rolled in, hang on to your minnow! I am a lot more confident on crappie fishing on Fellows after today. Anyone else fish much for crappie on Fellows? I see a lot of bass reports but not much for other species...

I fish for crappie on Fellows all the time. I know the map you're talking about showing the MDC brush pile locations, but at the marina when I registered my boat this year, the guy gave me a brochure that showed the locations of the "moss beds". I know they are predominately on the North side, but you might check that out next time you're there.
