8-17-09 Fishing Report

we have fished the last couple evenings from mt shira to two sons

catching some quality fish

tubes, wackys and top water are working like crazy

if you cant catch fish here now

you cant catch fish

need to do river clean up

bottom is littered bad on this lower section of the elk :angry:

How about putting together an OA/Outfitters cleanup float? There are enough guys on the board that float, as well as you, Red, and a few others. We could really do some good. Just a thought. Hell we could plan it a few months out so everyone could plan on it.

red and i fished from two sons on down and met a guy named dave that was picking up trash

he told us he found three wallets last year and picked up 1000 pounds of cans

No promises... but I will try and make it down there. Would be great too meet up with ya'll.

Yeah last time I was on the Elk, which was middle July the river bottom looked bad. There was a few people that where collecting the cans, and bye passing the other trash. At least they help and make a few bucks enjoying a day on the river.

Is this still in the planning? I missed the last clean up and can't promise that I can make this one but sure would love to come and help out.
