I'm looking for a quick and easy method of cleaning the "fuzz" from deer and elk hair before tying it in. I was told a toothbrush works good, but haven't had much look. I've tried velcro with even less results. I know there are commercial combs you can buy but was interested in some of your little tricks, tips, or suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have used a "grandpa" comb for years. One of those long black hair combs that are tall on one end with the wide teeth and short on the other end with fine teeth: the kind my grandpa always used. The fine teeth do a good job. It isn't perfect but it is a lot better than picking it by hand or with a dubbing needle.

a moustache or beard comb as well

There are two types of people. Those who dream dreams and wish, then there are the do'ers. I am a do'er!
