Members MoAngler06 Posted April 19, 2006 Members Posted April 19, 2006 I just moved to Lebanon and am looking for a good place to catfish from the bank, I don't have a boat yet. Any suggestions are greatly appriciated.

catman70 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 A little closer to home might be Lake Niangua, the Gasconade River or the Osage Fork of the Gasconade.
Members MoAngler06 Posted April 20, 2006 Author Members Posted April 20, 2006 Yeah, I was just reading about Lake Niangua last night. Is there public fishing on the whole lake or just parts? Can you put a boat on the lake? Most important, is it good fishing?
catman70 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Don't know - never been. I think I recall there being a motor restriction on the lake, and I'd imagine the whole thing is fairly shallow. It's really below the lake that has caught my interest. It would seem to me that below that dam would be an excellent place to fish during the spring runs of whites, walleye, etc. I'd think there's cats in there too, just like below Truman.
