Looks like the White River is going to lose it's title. It's about time my home state produced a fish this size. I always knew it was possible.

Taney seems a bit like a fish bowl to me, but then again I don't fish it. Would it be possible for a fish like that to swim around for years and years without someone noticing it?

I believe that world record fish have been found in taney, but maybe thats just a rumor

a fish like that gets big by not being seen. A fish like that could be anywhere from the dam down to 65 bridge hiding in some root wad or clump of boulders.

yea I think it was around 42-43 lbs

I remember when I used to work with MDC and we shocked a Brown up from the Fall creek area and with the measurements it came out to be right at 42lbs. that was about 9 years ago.
