hoglaw Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I'm headed down to Little Rock for a wedding this weekend (during the *@$%# Georgia game at that). My family has a place downstream from Lobo, and we're thinking about doing a float Sunday morning. Not sure where yet, just depends on water conditions. Either Dam to Cow, Cow to Swinging, or Pangburn to Ramsey. What have the generation patterns been like? We normally hit the water around 5 or 6.
Cody Smith Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 generation has been light to say the least. Usually running 3k cfs for an hour or two a day from 2 - 4 pm. You will have extra water the further down stream you go to assist in the float. Now, we have gotten around 4"'s of rain over the last few days and the lake level is rising a bit, that may change how they are releasing but I doubt it~ Cody S. I fly fish occasionally, but prefer to spin fish from canoes on the LR. I never fish anything other than maribou jigs, rebel crawdads, and panther martins. Care to share any tips for this time of year? My trip's really going to depend on the forecast. If it's a torrential downpour or any significant wind, I'll probably scrap this one and hit it up around Thanksgiving.
Members cmcclu Posted September 22, 2009 Members Posted September 22, 2009 I think a wedding would of been less painful than watching the end of the game Saturday night but the beginning was sure a lot of fun to watch. Today there was a steady low cfs released, this is great drifting water and probably my favorite level to fish.
