Anybody have any experience with the above jig. I found them in an Ace Hardware the other day and bought some to try out. I believe I know of Bobby Johnson, doesn't he hang around Fin and Feather tackle shop up in Springfield and used to be a sales rep in the fishing industry.

Anyway just curious about this product and it's history and it's catchability if anyone out there has used it. Thanks.

That be him...

I think the jig won a few awards at the fishin' tackle show in Vegas?? It looks to be a pretty kew set up, but I personally don't own any and haven't seen many here in Central MO.

Is this it?

Tom, sorry, but no. The jigs I have are a lot differant than that. A very unusual looking head design. And yes the packaging does state 2006 ICAST best of show award.

This jig was designed by Bobby Johbson that hangs at Fin and Feather. He had to take that company to court to get his royalties due him. Consequently, Fin and feather don't do business with them anymore. I bought some of them, and they work great, but I won't be buying any more of them.

Doug quite interesting I had no idea. I have not yet had a chance to fish these but am looking forward to it now since you say they catch fish.................If you don't mind on what type of bottom structure do you fish them and how did they perform?

Trout,

I had the best luck when I didn't do anything to the jig after it touched bottom. It will move on its own because of the balance of the jig, so it looks alive I guess. I didn't really devote much time to that jig bc I found out about how they treated Bobby. I can only remember trying it around docks.
