shockley32 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Crappie fishing was spotty. It would be slow for a little while and then bam hit a tree and pull off several keepers. Very few small fish, most were great size. Fishing standing timber 15-25' of water 10-22' down. Minnows or jigs, both produced fish. You should be able to catch several and put a mess together but will need to stay on the move. Good luck and great fishing! Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
shaker Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Thanks for the report, I put in at Long Shoal and fished back to the West Friday. Mostly looking for white and hybrids, didn't find any so broke out the crappie gear and pulled in 10 nice ones in the G-16 area. Most of mine came on a blue and white tube 8' to 10' down in 15' to 20' FOW. Some on flats and some in creeks, saw more shad in the creeks than the flats.
