Leonard Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 I did end up going last night for about 4 hours... well man was I wrong!!! started about 9:30pm I got there and there was a very dense for on the water and some lightening in the back ground ( up towards springfield area).. being I have hard ever caught a fish on white in the fog, I change my fly before I even got my waders on.. I put on a chili pepper.. caught 2 (and had about 8 taps) in the first half hour just enough to keep it interesting.. well I got tried of that one and tried a white (20 minutes) nothing even touched it.. Then I put on a olive sculpin.. pick up 2 more in about 30 minutes.. well then I switched flies again... to a black unweighted pine squirrel sculpin... THAT WAS IT!!! over 35 fish in about 2 hours and the biggest was about 24 in rainbow (caught just below chute 2) and a brown 20 1/2in (caught him out of the rebar hole as my last fish on the way back to the car) So that tell me one thing I need to make more black sculpins *G* fog = black!!! All in all another GREAT night on Taneycomo http://www.taneycomonights.com
