binman Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I have noticed on my last two outings and today that the walleye fishing is amazing right now on the Big Sac Arm on points in the dam to 215 bridge area I have been catching these fish in 22-27 ft depth on points. There will be tons of 12-13 inchers but alot of keepers as well New Orleans Trail area all those points are a good place to try seen many nice 23-28 in walleyes caught in this area recently. Members swellcat Posted October 26, 2009 Members Posted October 26, 2009 Nice report on some fine fish. Kind of surprised no one piped up about it. What's happened in the last three weeks? Fished moved up shallower?
binman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Not for me they moved deeper but are really hard to catch fished a crappie tournament sat and only caught one crappie it was in 42ft. of water the whites are about 15-16ft deep on flats we caught 7 or 8 of them but no walleye. I think your humps with fish on them are a good place to start working right now the weather is just too screwy. If the water would heat back up to the mid 60's I would do better. Going this week end will let you know how I do. Brandon Inman
