Can I ask if you were fishing at night? I've never used a bucktail streamer. That's pretty cool to me that an old time pattern like the mickey finn still works. I'll have to give it a try.

We were fishing during the day. It was just after noon and was overcast. That was the first time I'd tried the Mickey Finn and had a blast with it. I'll be using it more now.

This is a fantastic night fly.. easy to cast and even easier to hook up to fish while throwing it. Look up the S. Platter Special too!

You guys should also fisn the Hornberg and the Muddler, as drier night flies.
