Members fishstalker Posted October 19, 2009 Members Posted October 19, 2009 anybody catching any crappie right now. i have not been in a while and would like to know where to start
shockley32 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 The crappie are starting to move to the winter pattern. Find cedars and fish 10' down to the bottom using black/chart jigs and blue/white. Trees on the ledges are the best. The guys that have been lately have loaded the boat with their limits in 1-2 hrs. Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?

Brad cool does current have any effect on the fish this time of year and what size of jig heads
shockley32 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 On Truman the current generally helps the bite. Normally I vertical jig cedars and standing timber on Truman, for this method I prefer 1/8th ounce jig head. However as long as current isn't real strong any size should work. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
