I've not used that rod but understand they are goods guys to deal with. Dave
Danoinark Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Charlie I have cast the Lil Streamer but not fished with one. They are specifically designed for "shooting line" on small streams. The theory is that the more guides on the rod and in this case typically double the amount of guides with at least two large stripping guides causes less friction between the line and rod thereby allowing you to shoot line with minimal effort. Bob Brunsell came up with his concept while fishing the small streams in Wisconsin. I have Bob's personal nymph shooter he built in a 9 ft configuration, It has 18 guides including the tip. And as Dave said there is no finer rod company to do business with as far as customer service is concerned. I give Dorber an A-plus.
