Members Troutdude Posted November 8, 2009 Members Posted November 8, 2009 My better half and I are considering a trip to the park on Thanksgiving weekend. Can anyone give me some input on fishing pressure that weekend. This will be her first time fly fishing, she is very excited about the prospect of catching her first trout on a fly. Additionally, what is the name of the motel just north of the park and up the hill on the west side of the road?
timsfly Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 If the weather is nice, it will be very busy, but busy during the C&R season might only be 200 fisherman and about 1000 people out messing around, but even with 200 people fishing the park, you'll still have plenty of room, maybe not a hole to yourself, but you will once in awhile. I don't post very often, but I have been lurking in the shadows for a couple of years. I have learned volumes of great info and enjoyed reading everyone's input. Sadly, I don't get out very often with school and work monopolizing my time. However, living vicariously through everyone else on the board is the next best thing. Cheers!
Members Grant Miller Posted November 9, 2009 Members Posted November 9, 2009 I always stay at Roaring River Resort when I'm down there. They are great people and they have good rates. Plus, Tim's shop is right next door! "Life is like a beanstalk, isn't it." ~ John Geirach
