ozark trout fisher
I'm going fishing on one of the trout rivers for a couple days in the week before Christmas, and I can't decide between the Current, Eleven Point, and the North Fork. What would be my chances to get into some good brown trout fishing down in the Red Ribbon area around that time? I had thought about floating down from Patrick to Dawt. I've been wanting to try the North Fork, and this may be my chance. Also, will a floating line suffice, or do I need a sink-tip?
Justin Spencer
Should be a good time for it. The water should be perfect barring any big rains, and you should have the river to yourself. Floating line is fine, that's about all I use, sink tip wears me out. Just have a 9' leader and plenty of lead and you'll get down to the fish no problem. Kyle Kosovich
Look me up. I'll be down on the Fork around that time and maybe swing a streamer with you. Should be a fine time. If a cold front moves through and its clear and cold afterwards wait at least 3 days.
