Single Shot .22 Rifle

I have a buddy looking for a rifle for his 12 year old son, he has been

looking for a 22 rifle for his boy for awhile, he needs something in the

$100.00 and less price range, just a good ole bolt action is what he is

Cricket. They are 99 bucks brand new, youth model 22 bolt action gun.

I've seen them, but they want 139.00 + for them around here and they look a bit cheap to me, looking for an older rifle.

hate to say it but bass pro was running a special for 89.00 I think.. (only hate to say it b/c i like to support the small shops)

My grandson had one of the Cricket 22 rifles. It had good points like the key locking device. The main problem as far as I could see was it was very inaccurate and and so small that he out grew it very quickly.

That was my thought when I heard 12 and cricket. Good luck to your friend Tim they are out there but used .22 sometimes become heirlooms.
