troutfiend1985 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Got there around 11 and didn’t catch anything until 1:30 on a sz. 16 dark olive nymph, caught 8 the whole day which isn’t bad considering that I haven’t fished in a few months. I saw a few risers, but very sporadic rises and not major enough to tie on a dry. Main catch was trout without a lot of color, probably recent stockers. But, I caught two that were loaded with color and they were by far the biggest. Stream was running well and I was hitting the pools right behind the runs and having success. On another note, someone was hunting out on the conservation area. I’ve never ran into that problem before while I was fishing and it was a little spooky because I was dressed in brown and black and I didn’t know if he could see me or not. It might be a good idea to pack a hunters orange hat with you just in case. Happy holidays. “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
