Montauk C&r

I'm heading down to Montauk for C&R on on either the 27th or 28th, and I'm not quite sure what to expect... I've fished Montauk during the Catch and keep season dozens of times, but I was just curious if the fish still held in the same areas during the winter. I often fish the riffle water a ways up above the old mill dam during the catch and keep season, and do pretty well. Is that still a good bet in winter, or will they be hanging in slower water?

The water levels looking fine.... It's at 130 CFS and dropping.

Since this is a spring fed stream it really does not fluctuate the same way other waterways do, the closer you are to the spring head the more constant the temperature is year round. I don't believe the temp varies too much from the summer to the winter up in the park. There are some seasonal hatches that differ through the year but generally the water is much the same IMO. I bet someone on here would know the temperature variance between seasons.
