Tito Degiosio Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Merry Christmas To all and I hope you have a great and safe day with your travels In case you don't already know theres a spike in water levels due to heavy rains just doesn't seem like we have gotten much of a break with the best time to fish being now for some of us If the snows start falling soon there could be trouble for all our creeks and streams lake levels are up and most streams were hit as well the Eleven point was not back down to normal levels from the last flood and was at around 825 cfs before it the rain started falling now it has gone above 2,200 cfs once again and with no hot air to remove the water and strickly counting on run off it will be awile before we see normal levels again since the eastern rivers are still swollen there no place for the eleven point to dump out quickly just be sure and check you water levels before heading out for the new years fishing trip I had mine plan and now I must find a different stream as well if theres ever a time to try a new smaller creek for the first time this may be it since slighty higher water doesn't affect them as badly and can even make it easier in some I think I gonna make my first trip to crane if the water levvels let me well once again everyone have a Merry Christmas and safe travels to all on there journey through the packed road ways Tito DeGiosio Tito DeGiosio & Cydney Siri Pleasnt Valley Cabin and Camping (Home of the fresh baked pies) www.pleasant-valley.biz 970-249-8330
MaxDrown Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Seasons Greetings to all from Columbia, MO! We're still hoping to get some fishing in next week. I wonder how the NFoW water levels are doing? I got the Waspi Deluxe Fly Tying Kit for Christmas from my wife, so if we don't get any fishing in, then I guess I'll be learning how to ty rubber-legs, mohair leeches, and psycho princes. -- Max Drown

I had planned to hit the 11 Pt in the next few days, but with the water levels I'll have to change plans. I'm heading down to Montauk, as the water levels are totally fine there.
