A friend posted this on another board, so I'm helping spread the word;

"Lost Labs

Found this on another Forum thoght I would share here maybe someone can help.

My buddy was on his way to Springfield from Saint Louis this morning and found two female black lab pups (9 months old or so) with shock collars on, chasing cars on I-44 at mile marker 156 around 9:30am. They have no tags or chips. If anyone knows who they may belong to send me a PM or just call me at 314-814-4468. The dogs are safe and sound in Springfield, MO. Spread the word, thanks y'all. "

I have checked a lot of the gun dog forums and no one has posted that any are missing in the area. There are a few more that I will check. Shock collars not to mention dogs like that are expensive, but the $3 cost of a engraved name tag is worth spending money on too. My pointer ran off a couple of weeks ago, and just as I was growing weary of looking for him, my cell phone rang and a fellow had found my dog and called me up.

Thanks for the help. I am only passing along the original post I read in the hope of helping get the dogs home. If anyone knows of a good place to place the original message they might do as I did.

Your right Zander tags or riveted plates place on a coller takes much less time or expense than any chip.
