Tito Degiosio Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 well it was another day for me I was at it again started the day with gonna take the boat out and after a broke boot string and a trip back to the house before we got in the water it turned into the decision to just wade fish below turner's we hiked down river a little ways and both had a few light takes and jumping fish that lead to spit out hooks we moved on down a bit and started to even the score on lost fish to landed fish all though we didn't catch more then ten fish all together we didn't cover much water and moved quite slow in these temps you don't chance getting wet or at least I don't slow sure steps in high water you can end up on your rump in a hurry we caught fish on white minnow patters - white bead head rubber legs - white marabou jigs lots of weight to get down fast which also led to lots of lost flies for me today for me it was a Nice cold day to be out at least the sun was sinning for a bit tomorrow may be a different story pends on how much snow we get tonight if any if i will be able to make it to the river one downside to fishing the eleven point this time of year is steep hills on the only roads to the river which normally means impossible to get down and back up in snow or ice unless you want to hike 2 miles mmm thats always a option where's the studded ice cleets ? Brian Sloss Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 We also experimented with the shoal just downstream from the Riverton bridge. Man that water looked awesome at these water levels. No dice though www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Tito Degiosio Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 Tito....where was the pic taken from??? Trying to recognize, but don't!!! about half way between turners and whitten I hiked it the day before me and brian fished took the dog out looking for early deer sheds theres a big rock bluff on the right where I'm standing with a point over hanging the river alittle I climbed up it and took the picture was a magnificent view from there you could see down into the water gonna go back there when the water clears up and at noon so I can see if theres any big fish asking for my attention Tito DeGiosio & Cydney Siri Pleasnt Valley Cabin and Camping (Home of the fresh baked pies) www.pleasant-valley.biz 970-249-8330
