Hello gentleman. I stumbled across this site the other day and it looks great.

You southern boys have a much longer bass fishing season than we do in northern Illinois.I hope to learn a few things from all of you.

You're correct about the Ozarks fishing and you must be retired. Lucky you.

I usually fish the cooling lakes around here {LaSalle and Heidecke}. For real bass fishing I head to Delavan or Geneva in southern Wisconsin...

Fonzie, Take a look at www.illinoissmallmouthalliance.net and you will find that fishing in Illinois is outstanding. The best places are the many shallow rivers scattered around North and north Central Illinois. Like the Fox, DuPage, Kankakee, Kishwaukee, and Apple. I moved down here in July of 2005 and caught a whole bunch of Smallmouths wading the rivers up that way. Welcome to ozark anglers it is a great site for sure.
