Wayne SW/MO Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Looks like they pulled the plug. That will probably keep things unsettled until it has settled for a few days. I would think it would start picking up when TR runs, but I don't do well enough to know. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Forsythian Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Looks like they finally opened up the River Run ramp. We're back to normal pool. We need a week or so of steady water over the top of Powersite, then it ought to pick up. Rumor is they're about to pull the plug on Beaver, so we might get our wish. Cenosillicaphobiac
Jeremy Rasnick Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Dad and i went out on Saturday and caught 1 small male walleye at Snap. I picked up my new ranger from R and H Marine and the sales manager pulled in there on friday with 5 walleye, smallest was 5 lbs largest was 9 lbs, all chalked full of egges. There were two guys fishing so, no, he didn't go over his limit. I have been hearing lots of walleye stories. I think that right now is the time to catch them if you know how. I wish i did. Bass were bitting really good on jigs and cranks.
MstStudent10 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Fished Bull Shoals Saturday until 11:30 outta K Dock. The bass were hittin on the jerkbait. Between us caught about 25. I was doing the whole "try to pause the jerkbait as long as you can" method, while my buddy was giving it only 2-3 second pauses. He prolly out caught em 2 to 1 on me. About 6 keepers, but 4 of them were kentucks which isn't saying much since they only gotta be 12". My buddy did have a 4# 10oz largemouth and also a 3 lber. Legit we weighed the 4,10 on the scale. Not a bad morning working the stick. ps- All fish released alive and healthy to be caught again! On another note, some other friends were out at the same time caught 5 or 6 walleye on the stick in some coves. Good saturday. Unfortunately for us, we decided to try our luck at Table Rock on Sunday and only had 1 fish. Shoulda went back to Bull Shoals!! Set the hook first, ask questions later...
