Members Champ Posted May 11, 2006 Members Posted May 11, 2006 I'm taking a fishing trip to LOTO the week of May 22 and staying near the Grand Glaze Bridge and State Park area. Could you give us some pointers on bass paterns and what lures/areas we should concentrate on? Also a crappie report would be appreciated. Thanks for any information....I'll be sure to post a fishing report when I return.
Members jcmojo Posted May 11, 2006 Members Posted May 11, 2006 Champ, I don't do any bass fishing and haven't heard any reports on bass, so I can't report on that, but I did hear a crappie report on the Gravois arm from last Saturday. A friend of mine and his son caught 24 pretty nice crappie around deep water docks on jigs. They were mainly around docks on the main Gravois channel and not up in the coves. They said some of the big females were still carrying eggs and some of the big males were still black. That's about all I know. I guess if I were you I would start out looking for crappie around the deeper docks and then try some off the points and bluffs. This might be a trolling pattern. I don't think you will find them in shallow water. Good luck. jcmojo
CMAC Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I agree 100% with JCMOJO. This does not hold true just for the Gravios. There are lots of docks within close proximity to PB2 with deep water and brush, although a depth finder is necessary. But I would primarily look for that, most of these docks will be located just inside main lake points or nooks with the deep water near by.......good luck and let us know how you did.
