Members Pflugradt Posted February 12, 2010 Members Posted February 12, 2010 I'm looking to be down around that area the end of this month and would like to try and hit hickory. It has been a couple years since I have been there and I am far from in the loop for that place any longer. So what can you all tell me has been working well on your fly rod. Steve Are you asking about Hickory or Capps, or both? LOL. If you're asking about Capps, I would go with a sz 16 BH Olive pheasant tail nymph. Worked well for me the last time I was there. Sz 16 gray scud is hard to beat anywhere, I know the last time I was there I saw few to any rises. Think nymph and deep, hit the pools and good luck. I'm going down next Friday, hoping to one of these browns that Ollie keeps bragging about “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
