KIDS DAY MAY 20th Roaring River State park

Don't forget to bring the kids over on the 20th of may, the hatchery stocks the first 5 or 6 holes till they are full of trout and then turn the kids loose, it is a hoot, lots of happy kids, and the hatchery stocks fis all day. all bait is provided if needed, there are about 40 rods and reels there for use by kids that don't have rod and reel, there are a lot of prizes and stuff this year. So bring them over and have some fun. It goes on all day till the siren goes off that evening.

If you are fishing saturday, at Roaring River and need a break, go talk to Jerry Dean at the hatchery and see if they need a Volunteer, I know they still need some guys to help the kids, tie on hooks and stuff like that.

You can also get your free kid's day tags, and event pack today at the hatchery office. This would save you standing in line in the morning. I meant to mention this earlier, but never got a chance. Also, the kids don't need to be present when you pick of the tag.

Thanks Steve, I didn't know you could get them a day in advance, it saved me time I went down and got one for my nephew. The hatchery guys told me there may be as many as 2000 kids tomorrow, that is the # they are preparing for.

The hatchery is roping off all the holes from the low water bridge just south of the lodge all the way back up to the hatchery, there should be plenty of room for 2000 kids if they show up, it should be fun anyway. Thanks for the info on the kids tags Steve, hope to see you down there tomorrow.
