Yes, there is a mud flat that runs from about 100 to 500 yards below the train bridge just down river from 141. Last weekend it was under about 2 feet of water at the shallowest point that I saw. It also got pretty shallow by Castlewood as well.

I'm curious if you would be alright using a normal outboard (w/ a prop) on the Meramec around the Valley Park and / or Fenton area. Obviously you would have to be more careful with a prop as opposed to a jet, but I would think you'd be ok.

Those of you with experience on the Meramec in that area, please let me know what you think.

I got a jet boat and I really like it for the summer months when the water is low, but even during the sprign there are shallow areas just north of GW

I've had the Gator for 6 years or so, and still haven't put in at GW. Superstition I guess. When I had a prop boat every time I put in there I broke something. I'll have to give it a try this summer.
