Members Donn Posted March 12, 2010 Author Members Posted March 12, 2010 Yes, there is a mud flat that runs from about 100 to 500 yards below the train bridge just down river from 141. Last weekend it was under about 2 feet of water at the shallowest point that I saw. It also got pretty shallow by Castlewood as well.
Members Shores Posted March 12, 2010 Members Posted March 12, 2010 I'm curious if you would be alright using a normal outboard (w/ a prop) on the Meramec around the Valley Park and / or Fenton area. Obviously you would have to be more careful with a prop as opposed to a jet, but I would think you'd be ok. Those of you with experience on the Meramec in that area, please let me know what you think. Thank you. I got a jet boat and I really like it for the summer months when the water is low, but even during the sprign there are shallow areas just north of GW
Gatorjet Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I've had the Gator for 6 years or so, and still haven't put in at GW. Superstition I guess. When I had a prop boat every time I put in there I broke something. I'll have to give it a try this summer. Real men go propless!
