fozzype Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Fished out of Beaver Creek on Saturday from 7 to 3:30. Could get no takers on the jerkbait and only very short fish on the shaky head. With the wind I would have expected the the stick to work well. Ended up with 3 keeper LM in the 3-4 lb range, 6 shorts, and 1 17" Walley all on the wart. Had to find wind blowing into cuts near the deepest water to get bit. Felt pretty bad - But the FLW college guys had 50 plus boats and only 2 boats had 2 or more keepers and 7 lbs won the tournament. Our 9-10 lbs didn't feel so bad. Graphed a lot of fish ( I would assume whites) they would come up and look at the bait, but no takers. B. Foz
Sam Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I was at K Dock Friday, and I was surprised to see the FLW college tourney trailer set up on the parking lot there. There wasn't anybody around so this poor old raggedy crappie fisherman walked around it - what a rig! That thing cost a couple hundred thousand, I'd say. Kentucky plates, generator running, overhead lights, satellite dish, one side of the trailer slides out to make a stage, sound system, scales, fish tank, fancy paint job with the pros' pictures, flag poles and flags all over the lot. Wow, somebody spent a bunch of money. 7 lbs., huh?
Members cofobasser Posted March 8, 2010 Members Posted March 8, 2010 Cant wait to weigh in a bad of big lake O bass on that trailer at the end of the month.

Wow. 7 lbs., huh? Acutal 7 lbs 6 oz, there were only 29 total fish caught. My report was actually for 3-6, the day of the tournament. Saw a lot of boats running, very little fishing. The winners took home $ 5K (team) and $ 5K for the college's bass club. B. Foz
