hillbillyflyshack Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Held our 26th Annual tournament at Lilley's Landing March 7 and were treated like Kings. Kudos to the staff that made everything go so smooth. We will be back next year also. Now for the fishing. Our top weight was 9.76lbs. and the big fish went 2.86lbs. and was caught in front of River Point on a white marabou jig. Fish were caught from Fall Creek to the Landing. Powerbait was the ticket from the bridges down for numbers with a lot of silver bullets pestering the fishermen but the better fish came off sculpin jigs. The boats that weighed heavier strings came from Fall Creek to Short Creek using minnows. Had some of the best fishing in a long time as everyone caught fish and enjoyed the weather and camraderie.
Gatorjet Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Sounds like you all had a great time. It is always great to fish tournaments out of Lilley's. Everybody there are so great. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about what is happening on the lake. Not only great for tournaments, but great to visit anytime. In addition to the fisherman, it is a great place for the entire family! Real men go propless!
