Members luv2fish Posted March 19, 2010 Members Posted March 19, 2010 I fished out of masters, went up maze cr. to the highway, fished all the brush piles I know, tried some new spots, fished 10-30', tried at least 5 colors, no minnows. Caught nothing. Didn't see or talk to anyone that caught anything either. Trying trout tomorrow.
Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 I've had trips out all week. Tues was very tough, wed we found lots of crappie in 12 foot of water on channel drops. Thurs was the same as wed, but for some reason friday was tough again. Not as bad as tues, but still a little hard to get the bite going. I think we had 8 keepers friday morning, but we were off the lake by 11 am. Your best bet is to find channel drops and swings and fish in that area. Minnows didn't seem to help until we hit some deeper brush on the way back in friday. On Friday, We were catching a few whites and blacks in about 6 feet of water, but no crappie near the bank. Thanks again David
