We went fishing on the Big Sugar this weekend and caught a total of 240 fish. Everything from rock bass, smallies, and largemouth. It was a fantastic float. We cooked blue cheeseburger bombs and had a blast. I want to thank Kayaker for coming down and joining us. I hope you had a good time. The weather was perfect and believe it or not we got 7" of snow the next day....oh well. Have a good float and see you on the river. B)

Oh yah I enjoyed myself, you guys totally saved my trip. Redfish is not kidding, we caught over 200 fish easy. All you guys went out of your way to make sure I had a good trip and caught fish, I can't wait to come back. The blue cheese burger bombs were the best shore lunch I ever had. We got 7 inches of snow too, that is nuts that we were floating in shirt sleeves in 70 weather the day before. Glad I left that evening. Thanks again, tell the other guys thanks for me. I tried attaching some pictures but the attachment "thingy-mu-jiggy" said they max attachment is 2 MB and all my pictures are over 2 MB.

I would love to tell you where we put in, but I can't do that. Because it is on private land, but fishing any where on the Big Sugar was the place to be, before we got all this rain and snow. The rivers are way up and it's good kayaking. We are doing Little Sugar through Bella Vista's golf courses this afternoon. B)When the water goes down I'll find some good spots. Have a good float and see you on the river.

Your float sounds like one of those super good trips: good people, good fishing and good weather.

May I ask, how do you make a blue cheesburger bomb? I've never heard of it.

The blue cheese burger bombs are Redfish's recipe, but from what he told me he just adds one egg to each pound of beef and mixes it with blue cheese crumbles into some monster size patties. All he did was dig a hole in the gravel, pore in some charcoal, and place a grilling grate over it. The onion buns and beer make them taste even better. You are right, it was good fishing, good people, and good weather. I never had met or fished with these guys in my life but they heard about my tough luck on the Elk and even skipped work to take me fishing.
