Members Fishinator Posted March 24, 2010 Members Posted March 24, 2010 My brother and I went out for a couple of hours yesterday evening. Started on the Big Cedar side of the Bridge against the Bluffs and caught 2 very quick on salt & pepper single tail grubs w/ 1/4 oz. darter jig head (water temp. 49.4). Moved to the other side of the bridge to the Bluff just past Guages Marina and caught 6 more, all in the 2 to 3lb. range. We were in 40ft.casting towards the shore and cranking back in very, very slow. Another boat was on the point pulling in whites ( 10 to 12") as fast as he could cast. He was using a Pink head / white body roadrunner and reeling moderatley back in, he invited us in but we were content with the spots. 50 degree water on the last Bluff.
MOBass Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Thanks for the report. I am headed down to Big Cedar tomorrow morning for a couple of days with the family. Hopefully the whites will want to play since I'll be taking the kids out.
Members Bobby P. Posted March 24, 2010 Members Posted March 24, 2010 Keep me posted boys. My stompin' grounds are from Indian Point to Gages and I am headed down on the 1st. Don't sore lip too many before I get there.

CMAC Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Has anyone been catching Walleye by accident, man the last few trips at least one good one will eat a stickbait!
T-RockJaws Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I had a couple 21 plus inchers hit a grub while bass fishing a couple weeks ago. They hit like a smallie and the fight was on.
