Just curious how the bass fishing is at bull shoals, will more than likely try some fishing this weekend (crowds permiting). Probably be in the pontiac area.

thanks,

CMAC... I can't tell you much about the bass fishing, but if you go down the bank casting a crankbait or a jig with a piece of nightcrawler on it, you'll have a good shot at catching a walleye.

The walleye seem to be biting pretty good all the way from Peel to the big dam. Theodosia arm included. Good Luck...!!

If it were me, I'd get out at day break and fish topwater...

Hey Ken, tried to send you a pm but it would not let me doing. I will be down in Isabella for a week in July and wanted to talk to you about it. If you still have my email shoot one to me. Otherwise try a pm here or elsewhere so I can touch base.

i agree with the get out early and fish topwater approach

but im not so sure when i would quit

i remember a time a few years ago when we stayed out till noon

had to repeat cast a ton but we caught huge numbers of large fish

was blazing hot and the water was way high.

was a bit earlier in the year but you never know.

i use a devils horse a lot in kind of a bumblebee pattern

(yellow with black stripes) for some reason, it drives em crazy and this was before perch were found in the lake.

Porter, I've got one of those devils horse on my mantle... it was about 15 years ago on Stockton I had one of those days you are talking about... I caught bass after bass, had to rob a treble hook off of another lure to replace the back hook after it got bent up and wore out... what a day that was!
