Members BigMinnow Posted April 17, 2010 Members Posted April 17, 2010 Took my 2 year old daughter fishing with me last weekend, since she has been begging to go every time I do. It was her first time out so I talk to a buddy and he let us go to his pond and do a little fishing. I want to the back yard got a couple of worms and took my left over minnows that I was useing the day before for crappie. Got a few poles and we headed out, not letting her that we were going fishing. When we pulled up by the pond she knew that we were there to fish, I tried to play dumb, but she wasn't buying it. We got out riged one pole with a worm and another with a minnow, I went over and started gigging, and she seat down watching her bobbers like I told her to do. After about 15 min she started reeling in the pole with the minnow on it, I told her to stop so she could catch a fish, she didn't listen. The next thing I know she is standing by the edge of the water acting as if she is going to trow my pole in the water. I reached over and graped my pole and told her to seat down, only to relize there was sometugging on the other end of the pole. I handed her back the pole holding on to it just enough to keep it from going in the water and she reeled in her first catch. She ended up with 3 bass and 8 pearch that day, know she gets up every morning asking to go fishing. The bass were 14" 18" and 24" She is in the pic of the 18" and I am holding her 24" she caught it but didn't want her pic taken anymore so I am taking credit for it.

So I will be taking donations, lol. Maybe if I find a job then I can buy a little jon-boat in that will do. For now she is just going to have to stick with her princess fishing pole.
