Weekend At The River

Spent the weekend at Riverside resort with the family. I was kinda shocked to see the resort empty on a weekend but I guess its alittle early. What I did see was lots a fishermen. Most of them using bait. I dont have anything against people using spinning gear and powerbait but DONT CULL!!!!!!! Its aganist the law!!!!! I seen several fish float by me while fishing. Kinda made me sick. Any way the hot flies for me was a olive and black wolly bugger with rubber legs size 10 and y2ks. Most of my fish were caught above the falls. But caught fish up and down the river right in front of the resort also. Had a blast as always!!!! Oh yeah if you smoke while you fish dont throw your butts in the water!!!

Since when is it illegal to use live bait while fishing the river? I travel there twice a year, including next week; I seine out my own live bait, minnows and crayfish...

I believe he's referring to those that toss their culled trout.

Agree on the cigarette butts, there are plenty of smokers on the river on weekends, you can't hardly breathe out there.

I do keep my cigarette butts in my wader pocket. I don't get people who pitch 'em. But then again, I don't understand a lot of things people do... like cull fish...
