Going to be in town for company meetings next Wed/Thurs/Fri (Apr. 28-30). Since I would rather fling flies than hack golf balls I am going to bring my gear. Any advice for a first timer? I will probably be limited to early mornings on Thursday/Friday and maybe a bit Friday afternoon...perhaps try some night fishing Wed/Thurs. nights. Any advice as far as which section to fish? Anything special I need to have in my box?

No boat so my plan is obviously dependent on wadeable water. Any input would be greatly appreciated...

As a flyfishing virgin feel free to take this with a grain (maybe a full shake) of salt but I have become a huge fan of beadhead zebra midges. Blacks, reds and tans. On sunny days I've even caught on ice dubbing midges. Wading between Outlet 1 and the cable.

Have fun, dude.

Can go wring with midges, but don't overlook scuds either. Ginger and gray are my favorites, if the water is off then think 14 aon the large end, down to sz 20. Also, midging up top is big. Griffiths gnats are great, and I like a sz 18-22 matt's midge. Good luck on your adventure, I'm coming down late may B) .

The main reason I like the beadheads so much is that I don't have to put a splitshot on... I always end up with a tangle with a splitshot.

So there's another grain of salt to take into account.
