Members Fishinokie1 Posted April 23, 2010 Members Posted April 23, 2010 Got done with the honey do's (not all, I think more were added to the list) so I went down to the park for about an hour. The bass are right on the bank. Lots of them! Used old faithfull, 4" black power worm, weightless. I managed to catch 3 that were nice size by sight fishing. You have to move slowly, the water is clear and they spook easily. Was havig a great time and then I saw "THE ONE". I think I will call him "Walter". I would have to guess it was pushing close to 4 lbs. I bugged that thing for over 20 min. and could not get it to even look at the worm. It is nice to see the river picking up. I can't wait to take the kids out there. Bluegill were everywhere. Great place to keep the kids entertained, self included! I am heading back out Friday to see if I can convince Walter bite. If anyone else happens to catch him first, please remember to release so others can enjoy the same experience in the future! If you teach your kids to fish, your wife will let you go more often.....
