G-ROD Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I had a pretty good trip last week at Truman...Left my house at 3am & got back home at midnight..Spinnerbait & Jig both worked well. 400 mile round trip MIGHT be too far for a one day trip! -------------------- Mo Smallmouth Hunter Gary
shaker Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Wow! Good report I use to do that years ago but too long a day anymore. Hope you had someone with you, its pretty easy to fall asleep on that return trip for me anyway.
G-ROD Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 I was alone...and it was not easy making it home & goin to work the next morning.. -------------------- Mo Smallmouth Hunter Gary
Spinnaker Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I am thinking of going down for a day this week but I am concerned about the water clarity from the rain they have had recently. I like to bass fish but I will try for crappie as well. Which area of Truman did you fish and how was the water clarity? Thanks.
G-ROD Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 I fished around the Tebo area all day. The water was in good shape with some stain. I would say close to 2 foot of visibility. -------------------- Mo Smallmouth Hunter Gary
shaker Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I fished around the Bucksaw area Monday and it's very muddy, caught 10 crappie very nice but really scatered. Tebo and Pomme arms are probably the clearest right now.
