Predator1 Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Thanks to all you fellow fisherman and Bob Bennett. My old Boss and I put in at Aldrich and went up lake and fished the Right Shore line and bluffs. started with 4 doz shiners Sunday Morning. On that 4 Doz, we caught 75 crappie. 4 were between 13" and 15"...the rest look like 9 15/16" ..real close... most were really between the 9" and 9 15/16"...... He left at 1130am. I went south of Aldrich with a Dozen or so dead minnows and caught at least 25 more Crappie. I just tore the minnows in half and kept jiggling my cork. That seem to really pay off all morning and day. When I ran out of dead minnows. I put a yellow maribou jig on and caught 5 more keepers between 13 and 15". Wish I would have used jigs most of the day. The BIG CRAPPIE SEEM TO LIKE IT BETTER. We never stuck to one spot. We just kept the trolling motor on the #1 speed and kept those corks jiggling IN 3 FEET OF WATER and working the bank lines. My boss caught a 3lb large mouth bass when he dropped his line in for the first shot Sunday Morning. We caught several bass under the legal length on the minnows. Some Bass were hitting are corks. Again I really appreciate everyone else as well for your help this past weekend.
