Kind of a déjà vu of Monday’s report….

We went back to Stockton this morning. Launched at Masters Park around 9am and fished until noon or so. Used the same cranks and tactics as we did the other night, the only thing different was we headed the other direction and started fishing at the 245 Bridge and worked our way back to the ramp.

Got a mix of nine Spots and Largemouth but couldn’t find the feisty Brown Bass I hooked into before.

I am not complaining though.

Thanks Trav, Havent seen you in a while. Did you notice any Blue Gill Beds in the Shallows while you were fishing?

Seen some gills near the riff raff at the bridge but nothing big...

Thanks, I might head back to Stockton some time this weekend. Taking the Mrs Jackson to Fellows. I wonder if the Crappie are still doing good at Stockton?

Fished out of Masters yesterday. Caught a bunch of fish - not many keepers. Biggest went almost 4 pounds. Caught them on spooks, jigs, t-rigged plastics, and spinnerbaits in the wind. Just one of the fish had a blooddy tail. Water was 64-66 everywhere we went.

Why do you think the tail was bloody? Would that have anything to do with them spawning?

Sounds like you had fun. I seen a lot of 5-7-8lb bass on beds close to blue gill beds today at fellows lake. I would drop shot a Night Crawler Right Slap Dab In The Middle Of Their Beds AND Those Bass Would GO RIGHT UP TO THEM..SMELL IT OR LOOK AT IT And Swim in Circles and not even touch it <_<

Are the Bass sitting on Beds not at Stockton?

You must of had quite a show - I was surprised to see the parking lot so full. Had to launch on the other end. My goal was walleyes, caught 3 - all short, pulling cranks. I did pick up lots of crappies, average length of 13 inches, several over 14. What I was surprised about, was that many came 40 feet down in 55 feet of water. I was pulling three lines, the shallowest running 10 ft towards shore and using snap weights on the other two lines, one 2 oz and the other 3 oz. I don't know if trolling is allowed in your tournaments, but I would suggest you give it a try. I had similar results last weekend doing the same. A few less fish, but of slightly larger size.
