Galena To Hootentown Access

I have been read fishing magzaine on internet about galena to hootntown access or father to table rock lake either both. well i'm trying to to ask some question about 13 hwy bridge and trip down fishing for smallmouth bass and i would like to know how good smallmouth bass fishing ? well i'm plan to come down there and fishing from wisconsin as we got horrible cold font weather invade for the few days so i would like to come over and fishing thehre whole the weekend til monday or tuesday .. can they explain the things that i plan to take a canoe and i would figure if tube jig work well or should i take some other lures to try out ??
