nwaoutdoorsman Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Just curious who won the chamber tournament and what it took to win? Anyone know any details?
jeb Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Heard at HLS today that a "JR" won it with 15lbs. Won a new boat too, I guess. I was really surprised with the small weight given some of the big fish I was pulling up recently. I guess the spawn is DONE! Or at least for the big bass. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Members spahog Posted May 10, 2010 Members Posted May 10, 2010 "JR" was in reference to JR Beehler. Many of the local guys know him. Hes one of the best on Beaver. Back before the FLW required anglers on the pro side to fish all the tournaments, JR had a third place finish in the Wal-Mart Open. Low weights were a result of the cold front. There was no early morning top water bite. 320 boats and big bass was 4.17.

I heard it had been tough out there and everyone figured the weights would be low. A few guys I had talked to thought 13-14lbs might win it. I haven't been in awhile. Got to go one evening for a couple hours, but thats it. Maybe in a couple more weeks I'll have work caught up and can get out. Thanks again for the info.
